The presentation itself - PhD Presentations
You and a fellow PhD will both present during the colloquium. Take the following suggestions into account while making your presentation:
- Duration: You have a total of 25 minutes. To ensure you have sufficient room for questions, make sure your presentation is max 15 minutes long (ca. 10 slides)
- Content: Try to make sure that everyone in the department can follow the talk. The content should encourage attendants to ask questions and to start a discussion. To shape the discussion, you can ask a guiding question at the end.
- Beyond your research: Your topic of choice can be something else than your research (e.g. (your opinion on) open science, diversity). Yet we encourage you still to relate the talk to topics relevant to academia.
- Prevent: Detailed description of results, derivation of analytic relations
- Feedback: There is a possibility to send a questionnaire link with the invitation we send out to the department. Please contact the MTYP board if you are interested to useĀ thisĀ option.
